Holy sh*t, its 10 o'clock already?!

Dude what just happened to my day? I just looked at the clock, expecting like maybe 9-ish, but obviously I have been zoning out once again for over an hour. And what have I been doing, you may be asking? Duh, sewing and taking Etsy breaks, of course! I should be sleeping, or atleast attempting to sleep. My days are nutso. Gavyn wakes up hecka early, we all play in bed (more like he clanks on his xylephone while Daddy and I try and catch like just one more Z or two until the breakfast screams comes out), then drag ass outta bed to make some delish oatmeal and yogurt (yo-meal...try it, its amazing) for Gavyn. After getting a yo-meal shower, my husband and I shotgun our espressos in between cleaning the layer of breakfast off of G and trying to shove something of substance down our throats. We then hang out in the living room and learn our ABC's. Gavyn has a new dance move now that he busts out when the ABC video sings the alphabet song...its super funny, especially when you are zombie-tired. I sneak out to check emails, hoping I have an order or some good BayBeeGee news to share with the family. While Gavyn naps I sew like a mad-woman...finding that once I know its getting close for him to wake up, my heart starts pounding a million times a minute and it becomes a race to the finish line. "Ok how many Uber Kix can I finish before my little monster wakes up...I got about 10 minutes left, should I sew the sole onto this pair or start a new one and get thru the more difficult sewing steps of that pair so that I can possibly finish both of the pairs while Gavyn is pre-occupied?" And always right before I finish what I set out to do, he wakes up. Ahhh the life of a mother. You learn time management REAL quick. Its been a bajillion degrees out lately, so normally we would take a walk to the park and push Gavyn in his favorite swing, but we cant or we would cook like an egg on the sidewalk, so instead we hide out inside, eat snacks, attack the dogs, make new toys out of the most random things. Who knew that a wire basket could become a push-cart, AND a throne for G to climb all over. Way cooler than the toys we buy, in his eyes. So as the day winds down, after many clothing changes and diaper changes, its bathtime...Gavyns favorite part of the day. He splashes and takes all the bottles down off the edge of the tub, then puts them back. In the exact same order. I swear this kid is a genius. Imagine like 7 bottles of randomness, all different colors, shapes, sizes, and throwing them into a tub, playing with them for a minute, and then putting them back in the exact same order. Uber amazing. And if one is not right he knocks them all down and puts them back the right way. Dude is superbaby. And so now, here I go, off to bed. Baby is asleep, husband is lonely and neglected, and my eyes are stinging from this stinkin screen I spend way too much time in front of. Sweet dreams to all my homies out there....you know who you are:)

Dude I need a plastic camera!

I have been around photography since before I was even born...if that is possible. My dad has always had a camera around his neck, so its no big thang if theres cameras going off around me. Now that I have a child, I have REALLY gotten into photography. I mean reeeeeeeally. Im always laying on the floor trying to get funky angles, shooting into the sun to get those sweet sunrays coming out of Gavyns head like hes an angel, and I am just now discovering that if you take a pic of movement without the flash on, the result is almost ghost-like. My husband and I just got a MAC computer this year and it has some killer programs for editing photos, which can be really fun, but also very addicting. Should I make it black and white, wait no how about I enhance all the colors, no no sepia...SHIT i dunno! Too many choices. Anyways, the point of this whole thing is that I really want a Diana camera. Pops used to have one (and if you still do and are hiding it from me Im going to come hunt it down and steal it!), and it made the coolest pictures ever. I cant even explain to you how cool. Stellar, thats a good word to describe them. So if anyone wants to fuel my passion for being a crazy mom taking pictures all the time, send me a Diana camera asap. No joke dudes....I want one:)

Today.

I am really loving the end of today. L.O.V.I.N.G. it. It started great, at 5:45 am, but to a big smile on Gavyn's face and his little arms outstretched to me. My heart explodes with this overwhelming love every time I see his funny little smirks ("squinchy face" as we call them), his crazy hairdos in the morning, his cute little toosh splashing around in his pool. It is amazing.
Ok back on track, the morning was good. Then I went to the bank....and that right there started it all. Banks, ugh. I either hate em or love em. Today I wasnt too fond of mine. Supposedly if a check says "and" , that other "and" person has to be on your account to be able to deposit it! What?! Ya so dude was like "well when can we set up a time for your husband to come in so we can put him on the account?". And I explained that his job is not a regular schedule, he works when needed. And the teller looked at me like "what the hell language are you speaking to me right now? No set schedule?" And I wanted to be like "No fool, he doesnt work in some lame ass bank job, 9-5, inside, wanting to shoot his brains out every morning before walking into this stuffy building". But I didnt. Anyways, to make it short, I took my dumdum and left, without depositing my check.Butterscotch all the way. So next, I go to 7-11 by our house to get a money order for a bill (note, I was at my bank, but did I get one there? NO because they are $6.00 EACH. Enough said. Banks=grrrrrrrrrrrr), so after pulling out Gavyn from his carseat, not an easy feat in our jeep, the door is like 2 feet wide so you have to climb into the car, so annoying, I go in there, and instead of just getting the money order I decide to get some candy to. Chewy runts...yes I have a sweet tooth. I should floss more. I get to the counter and what do I see? "NO money orders". Oh rad! I just came here and got G out of the jeep and bought this delish candy for nothing!
So off home we go. A whole 100 yards. As we are walking into the house, a huge pile of fresh tree sap decides to jump into my gladiator sandals and mush between my toes and all up on my sandals...my favorite ones. Just amazing.
And then I slang some Uber Kix (second pair of the yellow plaid ruffle ones). Yay!
The fans in my hair, Im trying to focus on sewing, but Etsy is pulling me in. Damn that site, such an addiction. I think I have enough elastic to finish this gorgeous pair of lace Ubers, then off for some zzzz's.
I cant wait to wake up to G's toothy grin. He has 9 teeth now.

Someone turn my brain off please

So its just a few days, well actually one day left (Friday) until the NW Crossing Farmers Market that I will have a booth at. A few days before market, my brain will not stop spinning, thinking of all the things I need to sew, new ideas that I want to create for the market, then realize that there is no way I will have time for them, and then back to how much I need to sew before the day. I really worked on not procrastinating this time. I sewed every night, then realized that my poor husband is being neglected, sitting in our room all by himself...lonesome for me. So my new rule is be done sewing at 10 pm. As you can see now it is 23 AFTER 10, I am already breaking the rules. But tonight I couldnt help myself (just like last night....went to bed at 41 AFTER 10...whoops). See I have been thinking that Gavyn(my one year old rockin baby) is really in need of some booties, hes learning to walk so he needs a mushy sole so he can get his balance. And dude, baby shoes are EEEEEEExpensive. Plus, duh, I sew booties like all day long, so I envisioned these super rad slippers like his pappa has. "Castro" slippers I think they are. While sitting on the couch tonight I totally busted out and drew up the pattern, and sewed em up. These just arent any slippers. I made them from one of my old Volcom shirts, and a black and red striped tank top for the lining. Dude, they are UBER COOL. I would sport them. I think this is it, my million dollar idea. Making stellar slippers (that could even be the name of em) out of your old shirts. The part I love most about making them is figuring out how it all goes together, how the seams work, what goes where in what order, and at the end with this amazing trophy that I have created, its a sense of overcoming, of triumph. I did it all by myself, from my brain, and it worked. Love it. Its probably what its like for a math wiz, figuring out a crazy mathematical whatever, problem I guess its called, with no calculator...just the brain. And now Im off to bed, in hopes that my brain will simmer down. If anyone knows where the off button, lemme know:)

it's all coming together...slowly:)

So Ive recently started BayBeeGee's shop on Etsy. It was a little intimidating at first, Im not gonna lie, but less than a week later, I am in LOVE with it, and a little obsessed as well. You can log in and see how many views each item has, and who "hearts" your shop! Im always looking to see how many more views I get, and who new has "hearted" me. Its great! It gives me such incentive to keep doing what Im doing and following my dream and the vision of BBG. No sales yet...but thats ok! The forums are fantabulous on Etsy as well, I just discovered how to put my "mini-etsy" shop onto my profile page, so that all my homies can see the latest and greatest, and when they click on an item, it takes them directly to my shop...Genius! Everyday I am learning a new marketing tool, or reading a forum about how to take better pictures, basically anything to make my shop and company more successful! Its a great thing to watch it grow daily and feel the love from friends and fans! YAY!

Ahhhh silence.

The babe is asleep and it is officially time to start my other job...sewing my BayBeeGee products. I hang out with Gavyn during the day, sewing and cleaning when he takes naps, and we jam out most of the rest of the day. Walks to the park, playing in the baby pool, learning how to throw the ball for our dog Ruby, and riding on his Indian motorcycle...thats what we do. And making huge messes. No one tells you how messy a one year old is....so Im going to. Actually no Im not because that would take all night and I really do need to sew, but Ill just say its a massive amount of cleaning. But its ok because Gav is the coolest dude in the universe and so I would clean his messes up any day if I just get to hang out with him and wrestle.
